Part 15

”……!!”

Miu suddenly was able to fully grasp the reality of the situation, and she fell into a complete panic once again.

“Oh my god…what did I do?! Ambulance!! Call an ambulance right now!!

“You’ve been in a panic for a while, Miu…I’ve been injured this whole time…it’s not that serious,” Rei refuted.

“That very well may be,” Himeshiro said, “but we should still got those injuries taken care of. Hang on a minute.”

With that, Himeshiro ran off and returned about a minute later holding a bag.  It seemed like she went to grab something that she had put down somewhere before getting into a battle with the perpetrator.

“I guess it’s pretty sad that I’ve grown accustomed to all this fighting. It really sucks carrying all this around with me,” Himeshiro half-sarcastically lamented.

She took a spray-type antiseptic out of her bag and started spraying down Rei’s wounds. She continued by wrapping up Rei’s arm with fresh clean gauze and bandages.

“OK, where else are you…”

As Himeshiro was tending to Rei’s injuries, a bunch of guards and a rescue party burst on to the scene.

“Are you all alright?!”

“You’re so slow! What in the hell were you doing? Come over here! My brother’s injured!” Miu was absolutely furious. She was waving her hands frantically trying to get the attention of the medics.

“No, I think this guy needs your help before me…” Rei said in a surprisingly calm tone of voice, pointing at the collapsed attacker.

Just like that, the once rampaging attacker was being carted off by the medical staff. Rei, Miu, and Himeshiro went along with the police to answer questions and give their accounts of the situation that occurred.

They spend the rest of the day talking with one police officer after another. Meanwhile, the shopping center was now closed until further notice. Suffice to say, Rei and Miu missed out on a prime chance to buy their aunt a present.
